Creating order out of chaos.

Wow! It as been almost a year since my last post. I can't believe it. So many things have happened in the last year. The most important being that I gave birth to my first child, Montgomery Robert. He was born on Dec. 10th and I am truly enjoying being a mother. However, last week I decided it was time for me to take control again and start trying to lose weight. I have started walking the mall with a good friend of mine for an hour in the evenings and also I rejoined WW. I am very excited to start this major change in my life. I just want to be able to be the best mother possible and I know that I will not be able to do that unless I lose weight. My short-term goal is 5 lbs. It doesn't sound like much, but I am hoping to accomplish that goal by March 5. At my first meeting they talked about setting reasonable goals and I really feel that I can do that. My long-term goal is to lose 125 lbs. That is such a huge number. Eek! I think I have a few sister-in-laws who weigh less than the amount of weight I need to lose. Once I have lost that weight, my goal will be to maintain it so that I can work for WW. I would love to overcome this trial/struggle and then be able to help others with the same problem.
My weigh-in day will be Thursday and I will try to update weekly. I want everyone to help me celebrate my successes. I plan on having many of them.

Small goals are great ways to help you feel accomplishment on your way to the big goal. Good luck with your five lbs!

I'm excited you're back on the ww wagon! I am excited to be able to join you in a couple of months. Losing weight should be fun! I know you can do it, Kerrie!
